Exclamation Key/central locking issue

So I am having an issue with my central locking, I did a bit of research and ended up buying a key on eBay which came with a new rechargable battery,I transferred the guts to it and it didn't solve my problem, the key won't open the doors remotely although it does work to unlock the doors via the driver door lock and it does start the car. When I bought the car it only came with the one key too so I have no back up.
I have read that if it works the locks via the key in the driver lock that it is not a gm5 module problem, anyone have experience with this or have resolved an issue like it? I can't be the only one here who's experienced this.

Might be a stupid question, but did you program it to your car (to the GM!?), if not it will never work!

Woking in the lock (at the door) is purely mechanical, and has NOTHING to do with the remote OR the GM! So your problem is either the guts of the remote or the GM. We have both used, in stock at all times, guaranteed to work!

I just put the guts from my old key in the new one along with the new battery, I have tried syncing the key but nothing happened with that, is there a way to test the module before buying a new one and what's the price for a used module?
Thanks

No, the remote doesn't do a thing, no noise and no passenger door action either

I've had it in for a couple weeks, drove the car every day, tested it with a voltmeter and the output was 3.2 volts

Most likely the key internals or the GM.
