Should I buy this car?

I am buying my first car. I want it to be fun to drive and reasonably manageable, so an E36 seems a good fit. I am looking at a relatively low mileage and by the look very well maintained 328is. The current owner is demanding a rather large sum (lets say a lesser conditioned 328 could go half of that asking price). But I do prefer my first car to be more presentable and hassle-free before I learn to do all the work. Is this a good choice?

Price is pretty good. People are asking double that for clean 328is's...better spend the $$$ then fixing it later. Go see him with $3500 cash, and I bet you will drive away with it!

That goes for any car , if you're particular about your car like majority of us on the forum. To be honest Ive had my 325is for a few years now and other then regular oil changes and brakes on necessary repairs the car has costed me almost nothing I bought from a retired man it sat for 2 years so it had a blown rear shock and had to replace the control arm. Everything else Ive spent has been upgrades. If you spend your money wisely treat these cars good theyre you cant beat them
