2002 325xi - no start

Having an issue with my starter circut and hoping someone can help.

when trying to start my car it doesnt click it does nothing. if i put the key to the on position and apply 12v directly to the starter it spind and car fires instantly.

i dont know if there's a relay or clutch inhibitor switch?

Any help is appreciated.

Yes, if you have a manual gearbox there is a clutch safety switch. You can verify if it's the problem by unplugging the switch and shorting the circuit with a jumper wire.
