Congrats on the pass! Just wondering if they put your car on the dyno or just did an idle test? Supposedly they are in the process of phasing in a new test whereby newer cars (OBD2 and up I think) get tested via the diagnostic port and older cars without that capability just get idle tested. No more dyno. When I tested my E30 last fall they didn't put it on the dyno, and when I looked at the sheet, it said "n/a" in all the fields for NOx. If this is gonna be the new norm it actually spells good news for guys with iffy older cars because now you can just dump a bunch of methyl hydrate in the tank before going in a not have to worry about NOx levels skyrocketing.
Yup it was a dyno test. I heard the same thing about the obd2 plugin test and the obd1 idle tests. Not sure when that will come into play.
Ill post my results in the morning... You can see how close it really was.
I just got mine done last week too and it passed with flying colours.....after installing a new CAT . Seems the PO decided to gut the old one and not tell me when he sold me the car.
