Coupe Sport Springs on Sedan Non Sport

Before anyone gets pissed with me, I have searched, but come up with varying answers that are not necessarily specific to my application.

So I have a 2000 323i, and I would like a very small drop on the front. I'm happy with the height of the rear of the car, but the front could use 1" to 1.5" drop.

I bought a set of front springs that came out of a 2001 325ci with sport suspension. Im wondering how much of a drop this will yield? The general number ppl are throwing out there is 0.75". I would be interested in knowing the actual drop for someone who has done a similar swap.

About 0.75 sounds right.

You definitely won't get a 1.5 drop, but leaving the stock non-sport springs in the back will even out your "reverse-rake" look.

Installed a complete set of springs and sway bars from a 330ci in my 2000 323i.

Surprised at the difference, very subtle but compliments the street wheels I threw on it nicely. The M3 bar on the front, and 330ci sport rear made a good amount of difference in handling as well.

Thanks for reply guys. I went to go install the springs last weekend and found some maintenance that needs to be done before I do the install : (

So found both front struts leaking... so those need to be replaced... along with that, the front stabilizers connected to each strut were rott at the mounting points. So I ended up ordering 2 Bilstein front struts and Meyle HD front stabilizers... once those come in ill do the full install and report back

I am interested in getting some Bilstein front struts too! are you doing the work yourself or taking it in to a shop? if you are doing it yourself, I wonder if you would mind if I looked over your shoulder and observe...

Sorry my friend, I am actually taking it to my mechanic to have it done.. There is spring compressing tool I believe thats needed to remove and install the spring onto the strut. The rear shocks and springs can be done easily though without taking it to a shop.

If you dont mind me asking, which bilsteins were you looking to purchase? Im purchasing OEM replacement Bilsteins which really dont have any added performance over OEM. Ordered them for about 200 in total for the pair.
