Fender rolling
Anybody know a shop/someone that knows what they're doing when it comes to this? Not looking for a baseball bat job, but would like to get all 4 corners done professionally so I can get some spacers in there.

Max, you're in my neck of the woods and I need to re-touch my rear fenders to accomodate my 16x8 0ET ESM's.
theres a dude in Ottawa that rents his roller for 5 days for $60 (plus $300 security deposit)
if you wanted to organize a group fender rolling event, we can all get ours done in one shot for cheap.
it's easy...just use heat and time...did my fronts allready, didn't do enough on the rears.

Interested, but don't know how comfortable I'd be doing it myself :S I do most all the other work on all my cars, but for some reason, this makes me nervous.
Also, where is "your neck of the woods"?

I'm no pro, but I managed to get mine pretty out there with no paint cracking...and thats OEM 22 year old paint.
nicely heated up, and you more or less massage it untill its to your liking...
do keep in mind, if you have any bondo/body filler in your wheel wheels, the likely hood is pretty much guaranteed that it will crack.
I have a twoonie sized patch of bodyfiller on my right rear wheelwell, and I woudln't be surprised if it does...I guess time will tell.
I'm in Orleans/Cumberland/Rockland area....pretty much everywhere east end.

I'm also interested in this, I need to roll my rear fenders a bit. If someone is experimented in this I'd also be interested in renting the tool and doing an event
Edit : Apparently, these guys can do it : http://www.autoallemagne.com/

It's not that hard - some buddies and I did it a few years ago - we had a partay with beers... good times were had, and no paint was cracked

Ok, I'm in. Let me know when. Perhaps we should go to Kenny U Pull and roll a fender or two there and make sure we get it.
Unless you feel knowledgeable enough.

LOL
I'm thinking I'm in as long as someone knowledgeable does mine, although I doubt anyone would want to be responsible if something went wrong. Mine's an 05, no rust, no panels replaced/repainted etc etc

You guys are overthinking it.
We're super careful with our cars, it's no like we're going at them with sawzalls after a 40 of gin. Slow and steady wins the race.

I rolled my fedners on my jetta a few years ago. Going to roll my rears next weekend. Heat gun, roller and patients is all you need. I even used a mallet with light heat to finish the edges. No problems

Patience is not something I possess lol.
So how many people are in for this, and which weekend would work? For me, I don't think I would be able to until April 14th and after...
