Oshawa Parking Ticket

So I got a ticket for parking on the street. I went to City Hall to have the ticket reviewed, and I was told that the registered owner has to attend. The car's under my dad, but he lives an hour away.

Has anyone who is not the registered owner disputed a parking ticket before in the 'Shwa?
