318is leak in my muffler

Hi everyone,
I have a leak in my muffler (see photo) and was wondering if that could be fixed or if I have to change it.
also if anyone knows where I could get a used OEM muffler it could help.
Thanks

That's what I was thinking... now I have several options:
-Used OEM which I think I can find for about 200$
-New aftermarket, I've been quoted 300$ in a muffler shop
-New aftermarket ''performance'' for about 300$ too (I've been told that the performance is a little noisy... )

what do you think would be the best option?

I don't want to buy a brand new OEM - a little too expensive - I already have to change the front struts and the front ball joints and it's goin to cost me around 1000... don't wanna spend too much money on this car, even if it's in excellent condition with low mileage (156 000km).

I'd rather not go back in time, especially 14 yrs earlier!
and I doubt it would fit an E36...

Yeah, I know OEM is the best way to go... I'll try to get a used OEM in good condition, do you guys have an idea where I could find one?

DO NOT get aftermarket garbage, it will drone, be loud and you ll still be slow. OEM or OE is the best way to go. Get a 325, 328 or m3 cat back! with a y spliter you ll get a nicer burble without the dreaded droning and farting

Stock not the best IMO as well you may get the proplem common withe replacing any stock muffler. Find out in a month or two all in front was just as rotten out.
Go Stromung cat back like me
