DIY: Cleaning Automotive Floor Mats (Video)

How to shampoo/pressure wash carpet floor and trunk mats in a vehicle. This method works great for removing coffee or juice stains, sand, dirt, grease, oil, etc.

yeah it sure does..works awesome...what also works awesome is how the carpet underlay absorbs the water and how gravity pulls the water to the layer between the floor and the sponge creating a nice water barrier for your floors to rot out. :-) so even though the carpet might feel dry the underlay stays moist. Better off removing the carpet and doing it that way and letting it thoroughly dry out. one must know what he is doing in order to make sure carpet it completely dry!

I was just talking about the removable carpet mats(the ones you put your feet on)... Not the one that has to have the interior stripped to be removed. That would be a very bad move to wash it while its still in the car. No idea where you got the idea about the carpet inside the car.

Thank you for this video! I was looking specifically for how to clean cargo & floor mats. A whole bottle of fragrance oil spilled on the floor mat and while the interior of the car smells good as a result, the smell gets so intense sometimes that even when I simply wash it off the smell just won't come off!
