new csb and flex disc but still vibrating

hey I just finished replacing my csb and flex disc and took it out for a test run. the vibration has practically gone from taking off, but once you hit 70-80 km/h and up it vibrates worse and worse. only happens when I'm giving it gas (goes away while coasting.) any ideas on where to go now?

you may want to research some drive shaft balancing topics, or check your u-joints on her.

Unfortunately they are not user replacable so you will need a new two piece driveshaft.

yeah best bet would be a scrap yard. give them a call ahead, make sure to mention all the car details plus wether or not it is standard or automatic as it changes the length of the shaft.

we have a couple of used parts dealers in the toronto area. they are all mostly sponsors here on the forums. get in touch with them. it may be cheaper to get a shaft delivered to you then to buy brand new. you never know, its just another option. you may want to check out websites such as pelican parts as well they may have decent prices as opposed to the dealer.

How can you tell if the U-joint is bad on the driveshaft? I'm gonna be tackling this soon.

There's play when you shift.. almost like a clicking sound when changing gears. odd vibration from the rear of the car.

I had to replace them in my TR6.. now its smooth as butt-her!

Do some digging, my friend bought one from a supplier in toronto for his 328i for only 50 bucks... so 50 bucks plus shipping isnt really bad!
