E46 M3 - New wheel look for 2011 - yay or ney?
Decided to temporarily change the look of my car this year. Painted the wheels over the winter (flat black centers, [body-color] steel grey lip) and currently undecided if I should keep it this way. I'd like a nice yellow Stoptech BBK to finish off the look, but $4500+ is tough to swallow right now (going to Europe for 4 weeks in May). What do you guys think?

Your car looked great in motion with the dark wheels (401 westbound, exited at Hiway 8). I was driving my blue Z4M Coupe.
It goes really well with the greyed out theme.

Can you take a brighter pic with no motion blur?
Did you talk to Sam about a WP Pro BBK? Could probably get something like the Stoptech for less. Or get the 12 pot kit like the Smurf has.

Car needs some contrast. With the tinted tails and lights and now dark wheels it's too dark. Need some sort of pop. Just my 2 cents.

I really like your M3 when you originally posted it after having stuff done from the bodyshop...but if you're going with the 'stealth/dark look' then you've achieved it... (Not really my cup of tea, but it's your car)
^^^I'm echoing KingLuis comment that there's no contrast to the M3 it's just really dark especially with the dark tints, blacked out grilles, tinted rear tails and front corners..
The way you had the M3 with the SSR GT3's originally with the polished lip gives it a nice contrast, and not only makes the M3 look aggressive, but gives it a touch of class too!!
Just my 2 cents..

Wheels look good black, in my opinion the blacked out tails don't fit anymore though. I'd say black wheels with regular tails and the yellow BBK would look sick.

I totally agree regarding the tail light tint. I didn't want it nearly that dark... was shooting for more of a 15% smoke.. got closer to a 35%. Eventually i'll buy LED tails and attempt to re-smoke them lighter. Regarding the wheels... the paint is temporary (Plasti Dip vinyl spray adhesive) and just peels off. Getting the tires rotated and suspension realigned in June... that's when the wheels will return to their original polished look then. Thanks for the input guys.
