my guess is because its in kph and not mph as it is canadian spec. Im also going to guess that much of these type of clusters that come avialible are from american cars

Yes it would but your speed would be off by 10 km or so.

So are there any issues swapping these with a US cluster ? I read somewhere that it is important that the new cluster have more miles than the old cluster. My US M3 has 108k miles, this cluster has 124k kms. What if anything will be the issue ?
