I read up that you can use a 330d as a cheap alternative ssk has anyone done this I'm wondering if it's a direct fit or if need to tweak it

You can get a z3 shifter. Should decrease your throws by about 50%.

No i haven't but a friend has done it a while ago and it was pretty good. A little on the notchy side but for the price its not bad.

Looks like you haven't done a search for the threads about my ssk, it's shorter and smoother then the z3, i sell them under my businesses name and they are $80 for everything, that's a solid steel shifter rod, which is stronger then a 2 price rubber filled stocker, has a pivot bushing same style as b&m, and new linkage bushing on the rod, feed back can be found by a quick search

Where Would I search for you ssk also what do you mean by shorter, shorter throws or shorter as I lenght because I can't have it being too short as I do like to use my arm rest and having something really short would make it uncomfortable

Shorter throws, shifter know stays at stock height. There is a search tab on the forum.
