That is just pure stupidity. Nothing else can explain why people would do jobs like that.
even if I made it to the top I would have been crippled with fear when it was time to come down.

these people are working for a living! IMO, people who do jobs like this are much more brave than any police or fire fighter.
this is putting your life on the line, not caring a gun and shooting anything that resists your will.

I am not a big fan of cops but I would not draw the comparison you just did regarding bravery.
I just can't imagine the amount of money a company could afford to offer me to do a job like that. Furthermore, there is no way I would be doing any sort of free climbing while doing that job.

^^^Huge danger pay?
I love how they mention that they don't use safety harnesses cause it takes too long and is tiring.
You need all the energy you have but without a safety herness that's just retarded. Think of the wind speed up there!

So we're not talking about the same video with the footage from early 1900's? Music had me thinking Shaft was going to jump out and smack up some Jive Turkey's.

no that's not the vid, I wished I knew what the original vid was.
it's funny this is what they put above the new vid
"Removed at owner's request. This clip is equally awesome: San Francisco: Footage from 1905."

that's not so bad, and they're still using a safety harness when they're working, they just unclip it while they are climbing, you should check out building workers in Asia, 80 storeys up & windy, sitting on bamboo sticks with no safety equipment only a helmet, now that's crazy

Probably removed it due to possible legal issues as may have showed improper operating procedures.
