Thumbs down Shopping with Pelican Parts

Order size: $300
Delivery time: 1.5 weeks
Delivery method: USPS priority mail
Customs Duty: $50

After the order i received an email to confirm my Identity(photo ID and cretid card image. Had to be faxed or emailed.).So i emailed it to the contact. The worth part is that after my order was not shipped out to me due to verification. It took a whole week to get my order together again. I don't feel that first, 300 dollars deserves identity check, i am not buy a car from them!!!!!!!! Second when I was ordering parts it clearly said that all parts in stock.

What parts did you need to buy from them that you could not get from Bimmerspecialist in Canada or BMA in the USA? Are their prices so good that you had to buy from them?

2 reasons and 1 outcome

1) People at e46fanatics refer to them all the time.

2) I don't know if this one is still valid, was cheaper at the time.

3) I can pass the experience to the forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly i placed an order with them and they asked the same thing. i decided not to bother its really stupid. i went to check prices at maranello bmw in woodbridge. i reccomend you take your purchase order with the prices and part numbers and go to mike at maranello. his prices were VERY close and a few were cheaper. oh yeah no shipping and duty and you should have your parts within a day or 2. good luck

That's correct, I've asked Maranello Mike for prices on various parts and I doubt anyone will beat his.
