yes, depending on your current model / config, you may need other items above and beyond the switch plus the autofolding / powerfolding mirror (from DDM or Umnitza).

Mine is a 2002 model with memory, and 12 pin memory manual folding mirrors and Non-Power Folding Mirror Control Switch w/ MEMORY

Check out this DIY to see what you need for the upgrade.

Yes, still available. This switch is a must for all power-folding mirror setup. Mine is a 2002 with memory mirrors and all I need is this switch and the DDMTuning M3 style mirrors. Yours may or may not need the door module upgraded. Please check the URL I provided in post #3.

Here are the pics for the switch.

I plan to pick up the mirrors but i dont know know if you would be able to answer this question. I have a 2000 bmw e46 323i and it has power mirrors but they dont fold. on my drivers side door i have almost the same thing but a switch that slides side to side to select which mirror you would like to adjust right or left. Will i need the mirror switch with autofolding function or will what i currently have work do the job?

You need a new set of aftermarket driver/passenger mirrors with power fold capability, the switch this guy is selling, and ECU reprogram to get this to work.
The mirrors you currently have are not power fold capable because your car is a Canadian/US car and not a euro-spec bmw.

Accurate explanation. The aftermarket power-folding mirrors can be bought from DDMTuning or others. The switch must be the OEM (I haven't seen any after market version) and most BMW shop can re-program the setup for you.

I have just done it myself ... the only reason why I have 1 switch to sell is that I have by mistake ordered 2. After the installation I have 1 spare to sell.
