a buddy of mine just picked up a 98 e38, the radio was working fine for a week and then one day he was using the radio and it made this loud bang then there was no sound after that, it has a cassette player and equalizer too the right off it and a fm am preset buttons at the bottom everything looks like it working the fm am is lighting up no problem i can use the buttons to go throw all the presets, i can pop a cassette in it and i can hear the cassette spinning and the equalizer settings can be changed but no sound
he tried putting in used amps and nothing
i checked it out for power and ground and remote signal from the deck and its all there i still fell it's the amp
what do u guys think?
