i have the east coast intake on the E36 M3, and am perfectly happy with it.
the unit is very professionaly done.
they do have it for the E46 M3's as well.

to get the best results (and probably to avoid computer problems) you need to run it with an exhaust and software....$$$..!
air intake alone does jack for you.

stock air box is the best designed intake for the E46 M3..people spend $5000 on a CSL intake and tune to only loose HP.

Kevin is right,
the stock intake is the best set up. I tried a cone filter on my coupe once, felt slower, and the aggressive engine sound faded away.
stock ram air ftw !

I personally like this one, it's a replica of the Gruppe M one, can be picked up locally, and it's more reasonably priced

yeah I know, I'm partially at fault for that, many years ago Rob(Carbonio manager) and I decided to make a intake for a E39, my car was suppose to be the first prototype, I would have gotten it for free & I was responsible to help market it & sell it, I never got around to do it & sold my car a couple years back, something I kinda regret.

You think that he will be interested in using my car to create the prototype? I'd be definitely interested in that!
