i believe only the "is" comes with lsd and the rest are open...... i'm pretty sure the 325is is a 3.73lsd and the 318is is 4.10lsd

Most iS's came with 3.73LDS's but it was still an option (pretty rare) on non iS car's. You can tell by checking the metal tag on the bottom of the diff, it will say 3.73S instead of just 3.73.

325es's came with a 2.93LSD

Yes had two 325e's with lsd. The ratios are also different, the 'e' cars come with the better gears for fuel economy.

As far as I know all the Automatic 325i and 325is that I had came with 4:10LSD. Std 325i and IS had a 3:73LSD. some 318is came with 4:10lsd and some open. I think it was an option for 318is.

All 318is have an 4.10LSD as far as I've ever heard.

ix had a viscous lsd 3.91.

I still think I had the weirdest spec'd e30 out there. 4 door, auto, 3.73 lsd, sport seats, rear headrests.

I also have an I with an optional LSD. I'd say a 3.73LSD or 4.10LSD would be best for the track, though guys with bigger power numbers need a 3.25 (created from other diffs) and some turbo guys run 2.93LSD.
