It just depends on what you want...
The Audi is obviously better for snow, so that might make you lean towards it, but the BMW is probably nicer overall I guess....
So if the winter driving part is important to you, go with the Audi, otherwise just go with the BMW.. (IMO of course..)

But they're both AUTO :-/

BMW, you wont regret it!

P.S get a manual. If you get the auto, then you will regret it.

I also vote for the Bimmer. Does it have to be auto?

Is there such thing as a 2.8 Turbo Quattro or the turbo quattro only came in the 1.8?

Next level up is the 3.0 A4 I think. But there is a 2.7 turbo, but its a different class I think

In other words I have no idea! lol

AUTO

... the car is for my dad. He drove standard all his life, but he's getting old, and his knees are pretty bad + he does a lot of city driving, so he needs/wants AUTO... are there many problems with auto transmission, or is it more of a preference thing for u guyz?

Believe it or not I would say get an Audi.
Personally I would get bmw, but you gotta admit AUDI is much better for winter. I spent the whole winter on worn out summer tires, and I can say I'm really pissed. 4 wheel drive all the way. BUt i still think 3 series is better for young people.

I say both cars are equal in the visual department. Just one thing tho....Audi's are really expensive to fix. In the long run the BMW will be the better choice due to maintence. And for winter time...get good snow tires. AWD is only good for accleration in bad traction situations, it doesn't help you stop or corner any faster.
