Where to Buy
Trying to do my inner tie rod, and you need some bmw special tool. I did a little research and found out I can use w 32mm thin wrench. Problem is cant seem to find this anywhere. Anyone tackle this problem before?

I looked at this briefly when I did my tie rods and noticed you needed a special tool, so I only did the outer ends where most of the wear occurs (they weren't worn, but wanted to replace them since they were original). I didn't realize it's a 32mm thin wrench that you need ... sounds the same as the fan clutch wrench. I got my fan clutch wrench from Princess Auto for $10 (it's not really thin, but works great for the fan)

BTW, 32mm is approx. 1.25" which is easier to source

I tried to find both. An old German company used to carry it in the brand name Hazet.
32mm thin wall. You can buy the one from Princess and just grind it down. Lots of guys do this. It's not so easy using it for the fan clutch as stated. You got to find the right place to slide it through to hook onto the nut. it's rather a tight fit for the M20 engine. works easily for the M42.

yup that works excellent on tie rods seriously... good thinking.!!! especially if you can't turn the sleeve.

Ok so I rented a tool from partsource that didnt work. Then I tried a pipe wrench, which made it so much easier. I got the parts from Precision Tuning Motorsports. OEM LEMFOERDER $78.40 for each side. Thats for the whole tie rod though inner and outer together. If you just need the outer end then I imagine it would be less
