thats really unfortunate, i hope all gets well and you can at least recover most of your stuff. hopefully your insurance wont give you a hard time and you can get compensation for your losses. best of luck !

Shit man, heard about all this crap on the news. Sorry to hear. Hopefully insurance covers it.
Do they know what caused the sewers to back up? I mean even with that crazy rain we had, the sewers still should have been able to handle it, so something else must have gone on.

I thought in newer areas of the city the sewer and store run-off were separate from each other. If they were, this shouldn't happen! Hmmm.

Sorry to hear about that. Let's hope insurance comes through and doesn't give you the run around.

frakin' hell......that sucks. I know the there were quite a few parking lots (i.e., Canadian Tire in Kanata/Terry Fox Road) that was under 1.5 ft. I drove through it with my e90 without to much issue, slowly, but no problems there.
As for the pics of the Honda Civic....is that on Terry Fox, looks like it....just past Soby's? I know that when I was drivin' to my girlfriends place on Terry Fox, I was on the phone and as I put it down, I said, "HOLY SHIT" because there was a river in front of me which I could not have even noticed if I was off the phone because the jeep in front was guarding my view. He splashed through it and I went right through. I was thinkin' I was going to hydro-plane at my 40 to 60 km/h which I was drivin', but nope, the car remained firmly planted on the road.
When as I got to Fallowfield, no rain, the street was barely wet.....all the diluge was in Kanata and heading East into Ottawa.....
Weather patterns are just crazy here.....just crazy....
It really sucks that you got flooded....close to 300 homes got flooded....
And home owners insurance should cover it all...without issue...
Paul
