Warning: Fake insurance slips.
My police buddy told me there been a huge huge increase in the amount of drivers they are stopping with fake insurance slips, seems the slow economy is creating a large market for good copies of insurance slips with matching stolen plates. If you ever get into a accident my buddy told me if you got a camera phone take a photo of the driver and accident impact,go immediately to the accident reporting center and file a report, there been incidents where the accuse tries to get false witnesses and make it look that you cause the crash if the police do not report to the non serious accidents. He said Brampton and Jane/Finch area has the highest amount of non insured drivers in the GTA.That doesnt seem to surprise me since 1/2 of Jane/Finch now lives in Brampton.

Never ending story,, true
Insurance is really expensive, I really wished that soon there wil be a company that will only charge you when you drive the car.
With GPS system , this can be done even to the extent of how fast you are travelling and based on your driving habit and the
distance travelled, charge you accordingly.
wishful thinking?

There is such company, I can't remember the name. I seen it on TV about 2 weeks ago. However they also track on how fast you are driving, how hard you are on your brake and gas pedal.

If there is.. probably American and maybe years down the road
might see it in Canada.
If this type of service can save me a lot of insurance premium, i dont mind the tracking.

How about one insurance for 2 cars!? You can never drive the two (or 3 or more!) at the same time, so its the same basic risk! Just insure the driver, and let him have as many cars as he wants...i dont see the point of paying for 3-4 cars that you get to drive once a month.

Thats defly the BEST insurance to have but alas we are just pawns to kings!
Corporate giants run the show unfortunately.

That would be my firts guess, BUT if you think about it, the insurance industry would make even MORE $$$ that way!!! If more people had 2 or more cars, more people would get full insurance (+fire/theft etc) to protect them (also needed for leased cars)...So you would have more people paying for extra insurance, but the risk or accidents is the came as you can not crash 2 of your cars at the same time!

to do that would require logic, unfortunately squeezing people out of every penny take precedence.
You can always move to California. Every car that you get after your second one does not require any insurance.
