Cuba - Varadero help
Hey guys was wondering... I want to go to Varadero around August 21-23... for 2 weeks...
I've been looking around ...found some good prices for 3 hotels...
OASIS TURQUESA - its 1100ish with tax for 2 weeks
OASIS varadero 1920
Sirenis Varadero La Salina
We are a group of people around 10 - 15... all between i'm guessing 19-24
We want a place that has a lot of younger people, but its hard to find that out...
Anyone with any experiences like that? any suggestions? or anyone that has stayed at those hotels?

Heard really good comments about Sirenis Varadero La Salina when i was in cuba in march. Seems to be a place for young people too, what ever you do dont go to Arenas Blancas. While we were there, we found out most of the best resorts are at the far end of Varadero. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Stayed at Arenas Blancas, worse food/service, no activities but its a nice resort. The night manager threaten to kick us out because we complained about the staff not wanting to serve us a burger without paying even though it was all inclusive and a 24/7 snack bar.
I stayed for 7days, beach was beautiful and it was pretty cool that we could walk in Varadero at anytime of the day/night without any issue. Paid around 1200.
Btw if you find your resort to have shitty food, just flip your wrist band and walk into another resort and try the food there.

Both party hotels but Barcelo is the higher end one and i would highly reccommend it!"

barcelo solymar is really nice
but i agree... varadero isn't what it used to be. the food is crap everywhere in cuba.
go to nicer resturants and pay LOTS of junk food.. trust me..

went to la salina last year.. pretty nice, new resort.. but more family-oriented imo.. its also very big, so lots of walking. the nicer (newer) resorts are further away from the city for the most part... but if you plan to party every night, then being close to the town is huge... and the older resorts (near the town) tend to have the nicer beaches too (which makes sense, build on prime spots first)

hmm interesting, yeah i thought salina would be more family oriented..
dado how much did you pay and when did you go if you dont mind me asking?
so far i can only find it for about 1450 with tax for 14 nights

I have been to Barcelo Solymar and 1920. Solymar is better by far. Varadero has a great beach. Food is actually pretty good at solymar. If u have any questions that I can help u with, shoot me a pm
