Where do you buy your oil and filters?

For those who do your own oil changes.

My car needs 15W50 and I've had a hard time finding it. Anybody know a good spot with decent prices to buy oil and filters so I can do it myself?

Walmart is carrying mobil1 15w50 again.

I buy my filters at autopartsway.ca but that's for e46, I used to buy Bosch filters for my e30 at crappy tire.

Awesome. I'll try Walmart. One Canadian tire I checked had the spot for 15W50 on the shelf..but no oil. The guy checked the computer and it said they had 15..but nowhere to be found. I wonder if there's an employee out there who uses that grade?

I just get my oil changed at Bimmersport. I run regular oil in the winter and 20w50 in the summer...have a bit of a burning oil issue so the thicker oil works well.

I usually get my oil from crappy tire or walmart. I bought my e34 filters from the dealer because they always came with all the new washers and rings. Don't know where I'll get my e30 filter, it's just a screw on.

Good info. I think a thread with where to get what would be a great sticky to have.

^^ second that. Anytime I'm ordering parts from them, I top it up with filters (oil, fuel, air, whatever) to make the $75 minimum for free shipping!

Oils I pick up from Canadian Tire. Usually the Castrol Syntec or Mobil One when they're on special.

For filters, http://www.autopartsway.ca also.

funny, I just came back from Wal-Mart with four 5L jugs of 5W-40 Castrol Syntec, on sale $29 each!

I did notice they had a number of Mobil and Castrol synthetic 15W-something oils, but didn't really pay attention as i'm only interested in 5W-40.
