No, cant bring myself to eat it, I have seen it on the menus though.
The strangest thing I have eaten was mountain pig. Not that bad actually tastes more like beef than pork.
Also 1 CAD exchanges to 2.70 peruvan sol(currency). So as you can expect everything is cheap. 1 bottle of coca cola is roughly 25 cents Canadian.
And coca leaves, from which cocaine is produced, is legal for consumption down here. Had a few glasses of coca tea last night and man was I wired.

Yea the citys have some really poor areas average salaries are very very low. People live on the side of mountains down here in shacks. so when it rains and there are mud slides whole neighborhoods are washed away. Some of the pics were taken in the northern amazonian region of Junin which is more plush than up in the high mountains. The mine I am installing stuff at is approximately 4600 meters above sea level and it can be hard to breathe/work.
Thanks for the I was skeptical to meet her again the next day cuz I was drunk that night and figured that I may had made a bad choice. We had arranged to meet at her hotel but, I blew her off. So we were on our way out of La Merced heading towards Tarma and we passed them on the side of the road walking towards Merced. I did not want to stop but the guys I was with thought it would be funny to see how awkward it would be. The pic we are in with her friends was taken after the awkwardness subsided.

No 50 keys of coke but a lot of coca leaf. (In vegetation form it is legal)
I am here for work and I actually was evacuated from the mine yesterday because a town near the mine went on strike. For the past few days there were approx 100 of the Peruvian national police force present and yesterday they started being trucked out. I figured that meant everything was good but then the air raid siren started to go off and we were told to leave the site immediately. I have some more landscape pics from the ride back to lima. I will post them up later.
Exciting times. Now because some Peruvian aboriginals decided to go on strike I miss my thanksgiving. Dammit!!
at least last night I got a taste of home at KFC, its kinda close to the real thing.

Gorgeous pics. I had the opportunity to go there for a friend's wedding a few years ago, but had to save for my own. I heard its a wonderful country and hope to check it out sometime.

Peruvian city looks like every other city south of Texas/Mexico border (doesn't say much). I hope you double-bagged it bro, don't think you want a door knock in Hamilton next year with a small family standing on the step!
