Brakes...

Hey guys,
I need to do the brakes on my 318Is...,
Can anyone suggest good but not too expensive pads and rotors.

It would be nice if they don't squeak or rust overnight and the less pad dust the better.

OEM aren't really all that expensive. Go on autopartsway.com or autopartsonlinecanada.com and just get a set of OEM rotors and pads.

even guys who take their e30's to the track swear by the OEM rotors.

Brembo blanks with Hawk HPS pads.

How much should I expect to pay for the Oems compared to the brembos and Hawks?

I don't know exact pricing on oem replacements but I got them at cost and it ran me $350.. I know regular price from them (bmw) was over $600. This is all around thou with sensors, rotors and pads... your prob looking at bit more for brembos and hawks ..

If you don't mind buying from eBay, this is a reputable seller of brake stuff. Just make SURE before you buy, that they're sending you the 4bolt rotors for an e30. Their picture is generic, so don't go by that.

Shipping to canada is about $70, so you're talking $240 by the time your done.

They have just rotor sets too, for about $80, and then you can get pads at your local parts place, which should have them in stock no problem.
