What to get in England??

So some of my family members are going to England and they asked me what I want that they can get me from there.

Does anyone know if where you can purchase copies of those Tiff Needle videos somewhere? Do they have it in VCD, DVD, VHS?

Are there any good model car shops where they might carry rare models that they don't offer in T.dot?

How about the Magazines and motosport appereal?

Anything else ? haha

i'm not sure if UK uses PAL or NTSC system. but if they use PAL u will not be able to watch any of them here

except the VHS tapes, if u remember i said once i got that all system vcr so i can retape it to NTSC

i say tell them to grab u some magazines also...
revs is really good imo, nice european tunning mag. some really nice and crazy cars in that
car is also very good
and some good old top gear videos would b pretty sik

Living in England, I can confirm that all the DVDs here are PAL, and getting videos is not recommended, as they are not complitatible with VCRs your side of the Atlantic. You CAN retape them, but the quality will be extremely poor. (Trust me, this happened to my mum when she went over there to do a presentation for her company, the video just blinked, flickered ans the sound was awful-very embarassing for her!!!)
Your family will probably be shocked at how expensive things are here, but still, there are a lot of things here you'll never be able to get in the US or Canada, so it'll be worth it.

well the videos will work if u have a multi system VCR which i have. and tape quality is not bad after u retape it.

Most cheap ass DVD systems made in China don't have the region code restiction. Buy a no name DVD player for $100 or less and you can watch any DVD's from anywhere. Or you can get someone to modify your current system. Mine plays all.

Also, if you have a DVD player on your computer you can play both PAL and NTSC versions of DVD's. You can also change the regions codes.
