FS: Monti Cristo Cigars
Hey, a friend of mine just got back from cuba and he has some extra cigars left over. He's selling them for 30 bucks each or best offer. Any one interested in some?
They come with cases for the cigars metal tube.

This is by no way a slam against your friend, but unless they came from a government store there is a 99% chance they are fake. I am off to the Habanos cigar festival on Monday in Havana. I have seen my fair share of counterfeits. Regardless if these are a good deal or not, I have seen many friends come back from Cuba with great "deals" and almost all of them are fake. Also, Montecristo does not make a #3 in a Tube. A Monte #3 is a 42 Gauge and 5.5 inches, the Tubos are 6 inches and 42 Gauge.
Here is good site with samples of counterfeits.

Well considering I just got back from Havana and bought a box of Monte #3 for 145.00 CUC, that works out 5.80 CUC per stick...I think $30.00 CDN per cigar is kinda high...great friend. Oh...BTW, a Monte #3 is $21.49 retail here in Canada. I really hate it when people post rip-offs like this. This board is designed to share information and pass along good deals.
If anyone is interested, I can scan a copy of an official government receipt so you can know what to look for.
Now...should I sell my box of Partagas Series P????

Good post. Plus Romeo y Julieta and Montecristo are the most counterfeited cigars. Unless it was bought from a government store you bought a (probably) real box, and some cigars happen to be inside.
