Films with high or low budgets rent cars from individuals or companies that represent individuals, and usually have a fleet of specialty film rental vehicles. Sometimes they do buy vehicles if they are to be damaged or destroyed.
Just make sure it is legitimate, that there is a contract in place, that they add your car on their insurance, and generally there should be a daily rate paid which will depend on how many days they want your vehicle for.
I don't know anything about the original poster of this thread, but just do a background on the person or the company shooting the film.
It's not difficult to do and if it is legit, it will be obvious.
Don't hand your car over to an individual.

You should never have to pay to have photos taken for this kind of thing or to list your car with an agent.
