from my e30 to a e36

I just heard about this wicked forum, looking forward to reading all you's opinions.

I'm going to miss the dolphine grey workhorse.... '88 325is with 235,000k sold it to a guy in Ottawa who loved it so much he had joined the bmw car club and already attended a meeting before picking up the car. The e30 needed a new rack, brakes, heater fan motor and new tires to get certified. Emmissions legal? I don't think so due the the 2.5" exhaust pipe, free flow cat and mufler. It had a few other problems like water in the cabin (I had the drainage holes uplugged, pretty sure it was caused by a split seam in firewall which lead water to leak under the drivers carpet). The engine was rock solid, no problems - I had it chipped with K&N. That car was fun....

I guess I'll have to comfort myself with this e36. It's in crisp shape, 2nd owner. By looking at the pictures you can see that I bought if from Parkview, 52 year old lawyer traded it in for a e39 M5.
The e36 is a '97 328is - completely stock, I feel like it's new. The odometer reading is mouth watering, 68,000km

In the immediate future, most likely spring time, I want to get the engine re-programmed. I'm thinking about trying out this Toronto area guy's work -- who is affiliated with Autotrend (great bimmer specialists in TO -- ). His prices are reasonable when compared to mail orders from the US. Let me know if you know of any other Canadians who reprogram/remap engine software.
Also I will be trying to decide between the Conforti or the Carbonio CIA. Which would you recommend? From what I read on this forum, these are minor mods that will make a big difference.
Also I need/want ZKW Euro Ellipsoids with Angel Eyes, although the plastic headlights are pretty clean and clear still -

And if any body knows where I can get a lip spoiler for the e36, that doesn't look too gaudy let me know. Bavarian autosport has a DTM lip spoiler it's ok at $199 usd... and they have a AC Schnitzer replacement front spoiler - expensive, $700 usd.

Oh and of course I need winter tires and rims, if anybody knows were to get some winter rims w/ tires coming off a lease please inform me. Thanks in advance, it’s good to be apart of the board!!
