The 96+ M3 has ball joints in the upper and lower outer control arm mounts. The non M and the 95 M3 has a rubber bushing in the lower control arm joint, but it can be replaced with the ball joint (same dimensions).

A bushing puller will get them out, or some combination of nut/bolt and proper sized pipe or socket to do the pulling ... it's not fun, but can be done. A press it better obviously.

Not sure about the alignment, but -2 is a good numebr to shoot for. Toe will affect your camber a bit, and of course so will a bent control arm (easy to bend the lowers).

Plenty of places in the US sell it cheaper. I can get it for you for a decent price if you're willing to wait, but it might not be worth it with shipping from ottawa and all that.
