I've never had mine slip before... my clutch pedal has absolutely no play to it, not sure if it's supposed to be like that though.

I'm not sure either... I assume it shouldn't... I bought my clutch and brake pedal for the swap used so maybe that has some reason to maybe why it has a tiny bit of play to it. It's not that bad at all... just went past the tiny head of the screw (clutchstop) that you gave me.
