It's not a matter of liking or disliking.
Taking price into account, Bose speakers do not accurately produce sounds like the original sound wave, (usually from the amplifier). To the untrained ear, Bose sounds good because retailers play 'soft' music like classical, which is very easy for a speaker to produce.
Place a comparably priced speaker system such as Paradigm or B&W for an audio audition side by side, and the shortcomings of Bose becomes very apparent. Play 'hard' music like rock or dance, and it becomes a joke.
Hey, I even thought Bose sounded good when I got into audio 7 years ago. Didn't take long for that to change though, once I started auditioning mid & high-end audio.
