That is regrettable about your car... I had a fuel smell in my car for a longest time and finally found a leak in one of the fuel hoses. I just replaced my fuel lines this Monday...and now I am so000o glad that i did it because I was probably driving on a time-bomb just like you. Lesson learned: if you smell gas under the hood stop driving and find the problem ASAP. such a shame about your car , but don;t sell her; you'll never get what it's really worth! fix her up little by little.
