Do you want to swap motors or do the "i" head swap? The older 2.7L pistons will have to be changed in order to maintain a decent c/r. If you plan on Forced Induction, then leave the "e" block alone maintaining a lower c/r.
There are many differences in both motors, mainly in the head. larger ports, different valves, cambers, 7-journal cam, manifold & T-body grace the free flowing "i" head.
