With no spacers I had a clearance issue with the front brakes, but rears did not need any spacers. I put a set of 25mm spacers on because they were the only ones I had around. The fronts now clear no issue but the rears rub against the fender during hard cornering. This is all on stock suspension.
What I would like to do is run the minimum possible spacer on the front to clear the brakes so I can take the spacers off the rear without it looking silly. I might add smaller spacers to the rear later on but for now I just want to be able to go around a corner without worrying about cutting my tires. Any insight?
You're asking about caliper clearance more than wheel fitment.
Mount the front wheel with the spacer and measure how much clearance you have. See if you can use a smaller one. I can't really hold your hand through this part, just start looking and measuring.
