I admit I don't know too much about OBD or the more technical parts of the engine but it might be worth checking the air filter and MAF sensor especially if he's running a K&N w/charcoal delete. It might not be the MAF sensor since you got no codes but if you're checking the air filter anyway you may as well. Another suggestion is to PM Jon @ Bimmersport or one of the RMP guys to see if they have any suggestions.
