Put the cars original hood back on today... what a heavy piece of shit! A fiberglass unit is definitely on the list in the spring. I'll probably take a crack at molding the second (also rusty) hood that I have... luckily it is a bit straighter than this one.
Starting to look like a car again! Although a parts car maybe with every panel a different colour lol.
Got it all lined up, holes drilled for the pins, and some rubber hose to space the hood up at the back to keep it level.
And the pins found in the shop. Looks good enough! I still might cut out some round plates to rivet on the hood to surround the pin, and transfer them later to the real hood once I get one made up. Pin straight on paint makes me cringe!
