Started to take a crack at the paint over the last couple days. I started with the C pillars and to my dismay, sanded through the paint pretty quick. It's not through completely, but you can see dark clouds in the paint. Turns out a lot of the car is like this, as I started to do the roof yesterday... and a few spots where I could see the same thing happening. Unfortunately I'll have to back off the sanding a bit, deal with some of the texture, and polish it hopefully without the clouds appearing. I ended up doing half the roof yesterday and a bit this afternoon, I should be able to finish it off tomorrow evening.
Not perfect (which drives me crazy) but its good enough for a track car. Considering what it is, and how much it cost, I'll just have to adjust my expectations and live with it.
