rear shock mounts

So as we all know (or should) some e46s are prone to rear sub-frame failure around the area of the upper rear shock mount.

I'm in the process of changing my suspension (OEM sport shocks w/ Vogtland springs) all around... and I'm wondering - when changing my rear shock mounts should I go with... OEM (which is softer) or the Meyle (firmer)?

Any thoughts?

The price difference is negligible; OEM 22ish, Meyle 33ish.

I know that the oem bushings are prone to failure, but at the same time, i want the bushing to take the stress, and not the subframe.
