I don't think it necessary personally. I ran a massive UUC rear bar for two years on my 328 with no signs of damage.
So with a stock swaybar in the back of this car, I dont think there will ever be an issue. Especially when the springs and rear end will be stiff enough that there won't be much pressure on the bar in the first place. Once you get the rear ends on these cars tightened up, the swaybar pretty much becomes obsolete.
