The D3000 and D5000 are both in the D40 case with the same buttons as the D40. The D5000 has more features than the D3000 so it is a little more difficult to navigate quickly. I believe the D3000 has a worse sensor than the D40, and the D5000 has the D80 sensor. I'm not concerned about the video, I already have a Nikon Coolpix L100, and it take good video as long as I dont zoom.

So basically I should be perfectly fine with the D90 and DX lenses?Seeing as how the D90 is a DX camera? I just want to be able to change any setting to whatever I want, to shoot when and where I want.
