This mod will work if you can find the aforementioned wires. You should still be able to use everything as they do in Europe, except now you can actually turn everything off if you want.

My highbeams look like that because I have "city lights" in the housings. Little 5W bulbs that are like the "DRL" in Europe. I've wired them to the corners so I can turn those off too if I wish.
