what are you talking about? The new THINKPAD series have all those things. The Lenovo 3000 series and the ideapads are different series geared to consumer and lack some of these features.
Thinkpad's still have the metal hinges, still has the active hard drive technology to save data in case of a drop, etc
I don't know why so many people think they are different. Lenovo hired ALL the r and d people from IBM. Unlike the hp cpq merger, there was not a single lay off due to the merger. Lenovo head office still remains in RTP, north Carolina.
Oh, I was not aware that the Thinkpad name is still being used, I used a 3000 series before and that's what I based my post on..Anyway thanks for the heads up
