Listen, I completely agree, the police do have too much power. And they have no idea what they're talking about. But I have yet to hear one person complain about having their plates pulled that DIDN'T have at least one illegal modification to the car. There was private ownership in communist countries - most people owned their homes or apartments. Also private business existed, but not on a large corporation scale.
