And here is the update so far. Engine bay painted with a first coat, one more to go. That will be done after all the gussets and support brackets are welded in. Just wanted to seal the metal so it wouldn't rust where it was bare.
I think the motor relocation idea will be scrapped, too much work, and I'm too lazy
