This is an issue I have with my E36, however I figured it's also plaguing many E30 and maybe some E46 owners as well.

A search brought forth fairly scattered info. Hoping this is a thread that can help others, as well as myself.

I have a 1998 323is with one rust spot on the L/R quarter. I can't find any rust elsewhere.

I've got 2 quotes so far to fix it. The one shop that I know does excellent work wants $800-$1000. The other wants $600. They're both telling me what's visible is only 10% of the problem.

I was surprised to hear the numbers. I figured it was a smaller and less expensive issue. Your thoughts? Recommendations?
