I agree with Mirek, take the car to the dealer and let them diagnose the problem. Avoid spending unnecessary money replacing parts when you're unsure of the problem. Otherwise, invest in a Bentley manual and Peake diagnostic tool, and start learning more on your Beemer. That is the cost of owning a BMW.
