Oh snap! At least you had the common sense to shut er down and not kill it in the process of getting home.

As far as the bushings go, I spent just over $100 but I got lucky because the guy I bought the kit from had smoked his E36 before he got to install them. It would have cost $150-ish had I ordered direct from Pelican.
